I think you will find the 32-bit version very worthwhile.  Talking Caller ID 32 includes the new Microsoft Agent 2.0 technology with animated talking characters with a much nicer speech engine.  The new animated talking character is awesome, its mouth moves at is talking and even supports speech input.  The character not only announces who is calling, but can perform other tasks such as reading the contents of the clipboard, telling jokes and singing songs.   You can even type in messages for him to say.  You can download additional characters and choose which one to use (see links below).  This version also supports DDE which allows you to pop-up records from other programs such as personal information managers.  To speed the processing of the registration of the 32-bit version, please go to Help > About and copy the serial number and paste it into the comments of the order form.  The price to register is $39.95.  If you are an existing registered user of the 16-bit version, you can upgrade for only $19.95.   Click on the On-Line Order Form to register or upgrade now.  You can download the full program by clicking on the link to the left labeled  "Download Full Program" and finding the appropriate link.

If you have already downloaded and installed the full version, you can download and install the update from now on which is much smaller because it doesn't have Microsoft Agent and other installation files.  To get the latest update, click on link to the left labeled "Download Latest Update" and find the appropriate link.

If you want to use the data and settings from the 16-bit version, see the instructions below.  If you want to re-install the full version, first go to the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Talking Caller ID 32.

INSTRUCTIONS TO USE YOUR THE 16-BIT DATA IN THE 32-BIT PROGRAM

If you want to use the same data from the 16-bit version, copy the following files from the directory containing the 16-bit version to the directory containing the 32-bit version:

Talkncid.dat
Names.dbf (if it exists)
Block.dbf (if it exists)
Exclude.dbf (if it exists)
Pager.dbf (if it exist)

Also copy any subdirectories under the 16-bit program directory to the 32-bit program directory.  These contain your recorded greetings, photos and notes.

If you want to use the same settings, also copy the file Talkncid.ini from the 16-bit to the 32-bit directory, then edit this file with notepad and insert "[Global]" (without the quotes), press enter to move the other lines down and save it.
